ネバーセイ・ネバーアゲイン
第4作目『007 サンダーボール作戦』を、アーヴィン・カーシュナー監督がリメイクしたアメリカのスパイアクション映画。1983年公開。
ショーン・コネリーがボンド役に返り咲いた作品。
原作は、イアン・フレミング、ケヴィン・マクローリー、ジャック・ウィンティンガムの共同執筆による映画化用脚本”James Bond of the Secret Service”だったが、フレミングが2人に無許可で、この脚本を元に『サンダーボール作戦』として小説化した。これに怒ったマクローリーが訴訟を起こしたが、裁判は和解に至った。で、紆余曲折を経て、この映画が作られます。
この映画の製作中当時、イオンプロも「オクトパシー」を製作中だったため、「元祖ボンド」と「本家ボンド」の対決と叫ばれてました。（結果は良い勝負でしたが、わずかに「オクトパシー」が上回りました。）
